Mayor Zimmer: The Comprehensive Interview

In this first part of the audio interview Thursday afternoon at City Hall, Mayor Dawn Zimmer begins on the challenge of moving from a legislator to a executive, the "crises after crises" when she began and the effort on transparency in the hiring process and obtaining the police audit.

Hoboken for Haiti Relief - Concert Sunday at Maxwell's

Hoboken throws some of the best gatherings and this Sunday the town is throwing a big concert at Maxwell's: Hoboken for Haiti Relief. A full day lineup splitting an afternoon and evening affair is all set and ready to light it up. The nominal cost of $10 for individual and $20 for family means it's easily accessible and how can you beat a full afternoon and evening of live music?

The event is a group effort with WFMU, Maxwell's and The Guitar Bar with a family event running from 2:00 to 4:00 pm… Continue

Hudco never sleeps....

A lame duck Governor Corzine may be hitting the exit door days away after being sent into political retirement by the New Jersey voters, but it doesn't mean a few more bad deeds can't be done before he does.

Just yesterday, the Star Ledger reported on… Continue

Hey Johnny, it was nice meeting you last night. Funny coincidence. Let's see how things go today. Maybe we'll have a small victory. Thanks for all your support.

Didn't know you knew JCHeeler. Serious degenerate, but often a worthwhile read.

Yes, evidence of shielding or actively advancing HCDO agenda inside Hoboken against broader progressive/reform interests abounds for Carol and Mike. And I'm not talking about zero-tolerance of contact or working with Hudson/Old Hoboken machine bad boys either; there are certainly times and realms where cautious and clearly delimited ambits of cooperation with such are necessary for political activity to benefit Hoboken as a whole and/or reformer priorities. But those limited contexts need to be scrupulously respected and implications of future 'arrangements' of any kind not allowed to be assumed. That's where they've seriously failed ...well, let's just say 'themselves' for the time being.

Glad I could give anyone a smile with those blurbs - very similar material under the handle of 'Bard of Agon' in the form of limericks and sparing no Hoboken politico was canned by Perry the K - although he posted me privately just how much he loved them... UNTIL one took (oblique-only) aim at him and H411's biases. Hoboken political skin may be the thinnest I've ever come across. He took all limericks down whether they pertained to him/H411 or not and then banned my ISP permanently. The site retains value, though, for its ability to reach such a sizable chunk of New Hoboken and its hard rep for timely and extensive political topicality (regardless of whatever biases may exist).

Hey, Johnny. Great talking to you. I appreciate all that you're doing to help fight for the resignation of Camarrano. Sorry I had to cut our call short. Talk to you soon.
