How does Fundraiser(S) for the DSC and Menendez benefit Hoboken's 2nd ward residents, solve our citywide fiscal issues and get Maxwell Park open to the public?
Too bad Mason is more interested in rubbing shoulders with politicians and boosting her ego, than helping her neighbors.

If so, then why did Mayor Zimmer meet with Lautenberg staffers regarding Sinatra park?

There's a HUGE difference between a MAYOR meeting with either Senator to DO CITY BUSINESS, and a Ward Councilwoman fundraising for Senator Menendez , just so she can get invited to a fancy gala at The Pierre Hotel with President Obama.
One gets Piers repairs, the other is Status.

You must be a complete idiot. Mason was doing something helpful for Menendez. Rather than leverage that goodwill toward a member of hoboken's government to help , Zimmer chose to use her scheduling ability to interfere with Menedez's event to get at Mason. Dawn should have used the event to lobby for Sinatra park funding rather than be spiteful.

Being nice to your Senator is fine. Attending their fundraisers, or scheduling the town business around them, is unnecessary in my view. I think there is a difference between those two things.
For example, I don't think Zimmer attended any of the current Governor's political events, but they seem to have an effective working relationship.
I don't have a problem that Mason hosted the fundraiser, so I don't agree with the original post either. At the same time, should the city cease doing business every time someone like this wants to use Hoboken to increase their own chances of reelection?
