The Reporter story was amended to state that it was a Hoboken Battalion Chief (they make $132-157K per year), a police officer, and a parking utility worker that were arrested.

In other news, a 31-year-old Hoboken police officer was charged with DUI after being pulled over for driving at high speeds.

What's more - yet another Jersey City councilperson - Phil Kenny - who was NOT among the crop of 44 arrested in July - plead guilty to taking $5000 in bribes from caped crusader / criminal informant Solomon Dwek, the same fellow who got Cammarano and Schaffer in hot water.

Heavy news day. Stay classy, Hudson County.
The Kenny plea is particularly interesting, given that he wasn't charged in the original criminal complaint. This guy has likely been singing like a birdie since before the stuff hit the fan back on July 21 - that's the only reason why he wouldn't have been charged with the others. My guess is a lot of folks are sh**ing bricks right now. There's difinitely some next shoes to drop - the only question is whether the feds wait until after the election to drop them.
Does Church Towers and Marine View have a one strike policy regarding drug arrests the same way that Hoboken Housing Authority does? If they are going to apply these rules on HHA residents it should also be applied to our more affluent subsidized renters.
Interesting ?

HHA I believe has guidelines regarding felony convictions leading to evicitons (including family members).

As to the middle income housing (MV/CST), under whatever HUD guidelines may apply, who knows?

In any event, in the spirit of justice, these folks are arrested, but not as yet convicted.

The outcome will be telling. Should they be convicted, it's my understanding all will forfeit any State pension & benefits. As I believe Anthony Russo, Janisewski, etc., did for same.

Felony conviction = forfeiture.
As it should be.
