Hoboken residents and the City Council have repeatedly said "No, No, No!" to FXFOWLE's plan for the NJ Transit terminal, but Hoboken's state monitor Judy Tripodi exercised her state monitor-muscle and authorized FXFOWLE's contract extension earlier this month.

What a hideous and inappropriate project for this town. It cannot go forward. Where do the mayoral candidates stand on this?
agreed. Say NO to skyscrapers. If they want to build one do it in pavonia instead. Hoboken is jammed w/ rediculous luxury condos anyways. if it was small scale office space then I'd think maybe they have something there.
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that both Mason and Zimmer have come out against the FXFOWLE contract extension.
As you said Nancy, we gotta stop this. It's been repeated over and over. "The City Council is the town's Redevelopment Agency". I guess Queen Judy thinks otherwise.
Since she is coming up on her year, maybe it's time for her to go....We can keep her on as a consultant to finish a couple of things like the contract negotiations but not as the monitor. I say, thanks Judy for what you straightened out for us (and she has done a lot - I am reading the audit now) but you don't live here, this is not your town and you can go now.

Rumor has it that she wants to stay another year because she sees too much that has to be done....maybe that's because the economy is bad and she doesn't like the prospect of having to retire. She went straight from her retirement from the state to this. Maybe she is afraid to not have anything to do.
Mason rushed through the City's Largest redevelopment zone in our 154 year history!

To quote Mrs Mason "Hoboken MUST Develop or Die..."
It's time for Judy to go back where she came from; why would this be her bussiness against the wishes of Hoboken residents???
Mason also needs to dissapear - I hope people see all the wrong she's done lately.
When are they going to put these crooks in jail?
Without seeing the details of the contract you can't comment. If the city sent them back to the drawing board then decides not to pay it is city fault. Esp if they acted on good faith that the city would pay. Think of the opposite case, nobody does work for city unless paid in advance, you can't run gov't that way. Poor council choices s usual, they don't understand their actions cost money. they are a very unporfessional group
Elizebeth expect more of this if Dawn Zimmer becomes Mayor as the State (i.e Judy) will be running us for a good 2 years under Dawn's leadership. Peter will get us back and get this voted dont ASAP... This is a big issue that I think a lot of people are over looking...... Please dont get caught up in the Peter is status quo stuff...
