Published 150 years ago today. Not exactly a tax reform issue perhaps. But a reminder that time and knowledge are the great enemies of fear and ignorace. Darwin was not anti-religious as such, and his proper Unitarian wife Emma was disturbed at the ramifications of his beliefs for the next life. But Darwin saw what he saw and reported accordingly. Think of it as an audit.
I keep hearing that it's just some people calling themselves reformers; just a temporary one vote majority in the council; HCDO secretly controls everything; nothing will change. Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes things change and don't change back. The minority view becomes the majority view, and those who hoped the moment would pass quietly into history find that they are the ones who pass quietly into history.
Good luck Mayor Zimmer. Don't make monkeys of us.
