Hoboken Revolt

The Hoboken Tax Reform Coalition

Do not vote for KF until they answer satisfactorily the following questions:

1. What actions were taken to identify and eliminate the ILLEGAL students and how many were found? (12 is not the answer!)

2. THERE is NO TAX decrease for the taxpayers this year! Why? The BoE tax levy this year is only $3,000 less than last year! Please don't respond by saying that the state cut funds!

3. What concessions were negotiated with the custodian union? What is the outcome?

4. What did the BoE do to decrease the almost $30,000 per student? (hint: bringing illegal students as it was done in the past, is totally unacceptable!)

5. All board members should disclose to the public all members of their family employed by the school district. If there is such a conflict of interest, they should explain why they want to be on the BoE.

It is appalling to me that we trusted KF to do the right thing for the taxpayers, and 1 year later they managed to cut not more than 3 thousand dollars! Last year HobokenRevolt mobilized a great deal of members to sit out in the cold to convince the taxpayers to vote for KF! I believe that is the Revolt' steering committee responsibility to hold KF accountable!

It is time to stop deceiving the public!

Yeah, right, all 250 million of the children growing up in repressive communist China are brilliant.
Please continue writing, meatloaf, because you reveal the depth of the intellectual firepower of Kids First.

Eh just look at the facts. China has the smartest children on the planet....

Meatloaf, you top yourself once again. Kids First must be so proud that you are their spokesman.

The business world is very diffrent from a school district and from running a city. And communist children are brilliant. Look at China. So let me sound like one. At least I know what is going on in the school system, unlike you.

That is the communist's talk! You are wrong again! I heard a lot of educated people saying the same about Bloomberg before he became the Mayor: 'oh, he is a business man, what does he know about the government?' Yet, he was and he is very successful in running NYC! That is the problem with some governments: a lot of incompetent people infiltrate and run it inefficiently. KF proved to be amongst the worst, as they fooled the many thousands of new voters coming out in an attempt to get rid of the corruption.

...Running a school system is not that same as running a business and alot of people seem to think that. There is alot that can not be done as a board member. Such as the budget.
Regarding the answers to HR's questionnaire about the conflict of interest:
Rose Marie Markle claims: – None. Some people talked about a son in the Athletics department? Would someone confirm or refute this?
Irene Sobolov – Sister employed by the BOE. I don't think we need Irene on the board.
Anyhow, based on the answers, only RealResults make sense from the taxpayers' point of view.
I hope everyone reads the answers carefully and chooses the right people regardless of the slate.

Overtaxed: If it's the son i know of he (Markle's son) is a college student who lives away at school.
Well, I guess a lot of people like to misinform the public. Nevertheless, Markle's performance in her role has been dismal. I do hope that the public realizes that KidsFirst is not about cutting the taxes, nor taking care of the students. If so, they would have eliminated more of the bad apples.
I voted with all my heart for these women last year, but I am completely disappointed by their incompetence and betrayal.

I urge everyone to go and vote this Tuesday! Vote "NO" on the unjustified budget. Vote for RealResults. Let's give them a chance and show KF that when they make false promises, we, the taxpayers, have the power to take them out of the office.
None of the published responses from KF justifiy their passivity for the past year. The people who defend them are making fallacious arguments. That only shows that they have no excuse for what they delivered to us during the past year: same high taxes for such a poor education. KF proved to be part of the same political machine: they lied to get elected!
Georgi who are you voting for?
