Hoboken Revolt

The Hoboken Tax Reform Coalition

I was able to obtain a copy of the budget during the council meeting tonight however, it lacked detailed information. It looked like a simple Income & Expense statement. Councilman Lenz stated that there will be a Budget workshop where we can attend. The workshop consist of hours starting from 9am to 5pm with a lunch break, I believe the directors will be there to explain in detail what the numbers represent. The date will be determined soon.

It has been many years since the citizens of Hoboken were able to see and discuss the budget, while a good portion of the budget year remains. There seems to be many citizens that are anticipating this, and I too am very interested in attending the workshop and getting the detailed information.

We were told that the budget document will be available via online.

Frances-

I am not sure which documents you have but here is a link to all the ones we have access to.

Hope this helps. We look forward to getting the audits on the 18th and the budget hearing on the 30th. It is great to see more and more transparency entering the process.
The document is called "2010 Municipal Budget State Fiscal Year" and it consists of 59 pages (legal size). I am assuming it is the same document that Eric posted? Included the "Realized in Cash 2009" - I am assuming these are the actual numbers. And also included "Anticipated 2009 and 2010" - I am assuming these are the projected numbers. You are welcome to take a look. It will be available online as well.
