BoE videographer released by Interim Sup't. Carter over meeting tape edits

http://thehobokenjournal.blogspot.com/2009/12/boe-meeting-tape-edit...

The Channel 78 broadcast of the Nov. 17th BoE meeting has been airing with critical portions missing: : the 2009 audit presentation (which was rife with irregularities) and the test score presentation, which showed some decline in 3rd and 4th grade progress.

The videographer, who had described technical difficulties as the cause of the problem was released by Interim Sup't. Peter E. Carter today via email.

Well, it's official - you are a political power broker.

If it's Irene Sobolov, I can guarantee all she wants is the Board seat, and has no aspirations for any other office.

I hope that whomever is chosen by Kid's First is thinking about kids, has kids and isn't using the BOE for a springboard to higher office...
Just tell me what public office you'd like, Info, and I'll make it happen.

As a KF supporter I'm glad that kids are being put first. But what really turns me on is that taxpayers are no longer second. Congratulations to Irene. I wish her and the board nothing but success.
To all those who wanted a "Tax payers advocate" on the School Board well, you have the best one in Irene, in fact she owns a sizable home on Garden where she lives with her family. I also think a parent demanding a great education for her kids (and yours) means taxpayers are getting our money's worth.
Better School's = better home prices.

Just because someone has a condo purchased in the past 8 years they do not become a tax advocate by default.
We got a two-fer last night: $45K per annum future savings w/the resignation of Board Secretary, David Anthony and $532K in back-rent from Hoboken Charter.

It's funny how the prior Board majority (pre-Kids First) 'forgot' to collect 3 years of rent from the Charter School... strange how that happens. I suppose that might have been under the Anthony's purview, being the Board Secretary and all.. I guess his resignation on the day of the check receipt is a coincidence?

Scott, you must be pretty turned-on these days.

If only this had happened years ago. But why cry over spilled milk. Nothing like seeing 6 moms turn a failing school system upside (oops- right side) up. Of course with a man like Super Carter wielding the reins there is finally hope for our children.
