Perry Klaussen, of 411, has maligned Councilman Peter Cunningham. Perry has refused to allow posts correcting his screed or respond to a direct email which informs him of errors in his posting.

If Perry had any class he'd issue a retraction immediately and apologize.

411 also gives private email to 3rd parties: http://www.nj.com/forums/hoboken/index.ssf?artid=85224 That post references an email that was only sent to 411 as stated here: http://www.nj.com/forums/hoboken/index.ssf?artid=85230
InfotainMe, the conclusion on email(s) may be incorrect. But unfortunately it can't be eliminated from the list of possibilities.

The graver sin is the completely one-sided biased position(s) and not allowing public figures to even counter the record with a public statement.

It's most unfortunate for Councilman Peter Cunningham in this instance. He's not the first and will surely not be the last.

I have not said this lightly. He knows how I know.

I will not weigh in on the graver sin. Protecting the privacy of members is a given, not a favor.

I'd heard that at the recent POG meeting, there was a push to have POG get involved in the matter of councilperson Cunningham's statements on the November election. Does anyone have more background on this? I need it for something I'm working on. thx.

With roughly twenty people in the room engaging in chit-chat before and after the meeting, I cannot speak to every conversation that was held. I can say that a discussion of Cunningham's comments were not part of the official discourse of the meeting.
I also don't recall Councilman Cunningham being discussed.
Not clear when you say "he" but if you are saying that is PK, that's a very strong comment on both the person and the privacy issue.
